The Kibidula Tailoring class empowers young women to make a living in the community with a valued skill. Sewing is a business which they can use to support their families either for a company, start their own business, or provide clothes for their family. This is a project that cares deeply about women and their empowerment. Their hope is to be able to earn income for their large families. Having new skills and resources gives them a clear way to earn money, something that is very unstable in their lives. Sewing is truly a universal skill, one which they use to make a living.  We often think about humanitarian efforts being done only by doctors, nurses, teachers, builders, etc., but really we all have a way to help, especially in creative industries.
